Section 7 exhaust brake
The exhaust brake is mounted on the exhaust pipe of the engine to inhibit the rotation of the engine and reducing the speed of the vehicle. Frequent use of foot brakes lead to thermal degradation of braking, which can extend the life of frictional lining - it also prevents excessive use of foot brakes and excessive system pressure drop that affects service braking safety. The system manipulates the system exhaust brake switch to enable the solenoid valve to the exhaust gas valve, and the exhaust passage passes through the valve, and increases the resistance of the engine operation. The control circuit is connected in series with the accelerator switch and the clutch switch. When the accelerator pedal or clutch pedal, the driver can automatically release the exhaust brake.

As the vehicle is stationary, Gearbox is placed in the idle position, the pedal is released, and the exhaust brake switch handle is operated.
Observe the changes in engine speed and sound. If there is no change, check if the clutch pedal switch and the accelerator pedal switch are working properly.
The exhaust braking capacity can be controlled by adjusting the extreme screw on the cylinder. The thrust of the exhaust brake valve cannot meet the requirements, and the throttle can be adjusted to control the size.
